About This Blog

I created this blog when I am doing my bridal planning... or rather I started this blog while I was halfway through with my bridal planning. So you may find that some posts & the date posted are days or even weeks apart.

I never was a blogger nor am I familiar on how a blog should work. I just want a blog to capture memories of how my life took a turn for the better & also at the same time to help other brides-to-be to have an idea how they can plan their own wedding.

Of course, when my wedding is over, I will also use this blog as a platform to capture our memories together as a married couple on our new home, our kids & our quarrels! (hahaha)

This blog is strictly for information & sharing purposes based on my experiences & any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.

I hope you find my blog informative & hope it will aid in your own DREAM wedding planning!! Do also comment if this blog needs more improvement!!

MY AD GOWN SOURCING (PART I)

Remember in my previous entry that I came across some cheap gown rentals? Well, I had decided to check out the cheapest & most value-for-money. I actually made an appointment to go down to one of them for fitting - I thought... no harm in just trying out the gowns right? since I've already tried 9 gowns at JB without signing anything with them... keke However, this time will be different as my HTB is coming with me!!!
Prior to the appointment, I had actually liaise with Landy on my requirements & she is very helpful. When I asked her about the red veil, she says she does not have any but was willing to go & help me source for them & she only charged me an additional of S$50 for the Kwa rental together with her wedding package at S$999 which includes the following
1 X White Gown with Accessories
1 X Evening Gown with Accessories
2 X Groom Suit
1 X MUA with 2 make-up & hair styling (no additional charge if come before 6am)
1 X Bridal car & 4 X Brothers' Car decors
1 X Hand Bouquet
5 X Chest Corsage

When I reach her place at Sengkang, there was another couple still in the fitting room & while waiting, she showed us some albums of her gowns which is also to help expedite the gowns selection.

When it's our turn, she promptly asked me what type of gowns I prefer & she brought in a few for my fitting. After the white gowns, she brought in the evening gowns & the kwa. After trying on all the gowns, Landy wasn't pushy in getting our confirmation. She wrote on the confirmation form a list of the things that will be in the package including the red veil, the groom's red ball (the traditional type that the groom wears when fetching the bride), a wrist flower for the bride & gloves too... So its quite a comprehensive package - all for S$999....!!
