About This Blog

I created this blog when I am doing my bridal planning... or rather I started this blog while I was halfway through with my bridal planning. So you may find that some posts & the date posted are days or even weeks apart.

I never was a blogger nor am I familiar on how a blog should work. I just want a blog to capture memories of how my life took a turn for the better & also at the same time to help other brides-to-be to have an idea how they can plan their own wedding.

Of course, when my wedding is over, I will also use this blog as a platform to capture our memories together as a married couple on our new home, our kids & our quarrels! (hahaha)

This blog is strictly for information & sharing purposes based on my experiences & any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.

I hope you find my blog informative & hope it will aid in your own DREAM wedding planning!! Do also comment if this blog needs more improvement!!

MY INITIAL DREAM WEDDING PLANNING

My initial wedding plans was just to have the cheapest pre-wedding package I can find in the market, have the traditional wedding customary & a simple ROM reception with some close friends & relatives.

But in the midst of finding an ideal location, I found that most special venues have certain limitations. Some need to enagage or source for external florist, catering, or even tentage for outdoor venues. There are no venues that have all these in as a whole package unless we are talking about hotel venues.

Klapson Hotel - Fabrika
Of course, price is a factor as well. Some venues like Klapson The Boutique Hotel has a min spending of S$5,000 if your AD is on a Saturday as the alfresco sky bar, Fabrika is closed on Saturdays & Sundays (S$10,000 for Monday - Friday). Food will be either

1. High-Tea buffet @ S$78 ++ per person - Min is 60pax with custom-design floral decorations, 1 complimentary bottle of campange & parking is based on 15% of guranteed attendence

Klapson Hotel
2. BBQ dinner or a High-Tea buffet @ S$108++ per person - Min is 100pax which makes the min spending quite redundant. They also have custom-design floral decorations, 1 complimentary bottle of  campange & 1 bottle of wine for every confirmed table of 10 pax per table, 30L barrel of beer, parking is based on 20% of guranteed attendence & 1 night stay at their Oasis Suite with breakfast

Rider's Lodge SG

Another venue I want to share with brides-to-be is Rider's Lodge Singapore. The rental for venue alone is only at S$1,000+ but you will need to source for your own caterer, logistics (tables, chairs, tentage), sound system & floral decorators.

At the same place, there is another hidden venue called Picotin. It is a resturant with European cuisine but you will need to get your own floral decorators in to make it a dream wedding venue.
Prices range from S$45++ to S$75++ per pax for buffet menu or set menu at S$50++ for 3 course or S$70++ for a 4 course menu per person.
They also serve canopies if you are looking at doing a cozy standing cocktail event after your ROM solemnization. It is also a great place for watching the sunset too!!
