About This Blog

I created this blog when I am doing my bridal planning... or rather I started this blog while I was halfway through with my bridal planning. So you may find that some posts & the date posted are days or even weeks apart.

I never was a blogger nor am I familiar on how a blog should work. I just want a blog to capture memories of how my life took a turn for the better & also at the same time to help other brides-to-be to have an idea how they can plan their own wedding.

Of course, when my wedding is over, I will also use this blog as a platform to capture our memories together as a married couple on our new home, our kids & our quarrels! (hahaha)

This blog is strictly for information & sharing purposes based on my experiences & any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.

I hope you find my blog informative & hope it will aid in your own DREAM wedding planning!! Do also comment if this blog needs more improvement!!

MY PRE - WEDDING PREPARATIONS (PART IV)

10 November 2012 - The day finally arrive for me to go in JB with my photographer friend & also to meet Vivian & her friend who own the gown rental business. After a long queue at JB customs, finally I am in his cousin's car at 1130am. As it was close to lunch, we decided to have lunch nearby the area before proceeding to the gown shop. We reached there about close to 1pm but Vivian & her friend, Angeline was already waiting at the shop.

Tip of the Day: It is always good to have a photographer during the gown selections as they will have a better idea of which gown designs & angle best suits you & he can always stand in the role of a wedding planner too!!

Angeline from SERE VELLA GOWNS GALLERY was very very helpful - I tried a total of 9 gowns & even though I had not confirmed anything with her on the package, she is still very helpful & the last 3 gowns that I had tried on is after I had left the shop but the gown at the window display just caught my attention!! & being with a photographer with a keen eye for detail, he picked out another red gown but it wasn't very flattering on me & he asked Angeline if there is another colour for one of the white gown that I had tried on earlier & we kinda agreed that the red looks better on me than the previous one...

One of the main reasons why I did not confirmed the basic package on that day was that my hubby-to-be is not around & I wanted to know what is the total package price if I were to take for both my pre-wedding & my AD (my kind colleague offered to send me in to collect & return if I find that JB is cheaper than in SG - keke) but Angeline would need to re-package for me based on my requirements & will send me an email on the package price.

Both me & my friend had shortlist a white & a red gown for the photoshoot - I also asked Angeline if I were to add in another colour gown what would be the price & it is only an additional of RM$200 for an additional gown, making it RM$1488 nett. Not a bad deal afterall....

For stand-alone AD package which includes 2 gowns, 1 suit, hand bouquet, corsages, MUA (which is Vivian),1 set of accessories = RM$2388 & based on my exchange rate (I got another girlfriend to help me to do the currency exchange at 2.49 that time :) ) is about S$959 which to me is quite reasonable. I will fix another appointment with Angeline together with my HTB sometime in Dec & will update again...
